SHORE THING is back for yet another extraordinary New Year's Eve that is set to go off bigger and louder than any firework you've ever seen. This night has now achieved legendary status in the Sydney party calendar as an unrivalled outdoor musical experience due to its unremittingly top-quality line-ups in one of the most unique iconic locations in Australia, Bondi Beach. So with this gorgeous backdrop to some incredible musical acts, your friends all around, and the sea breeze in your hair. What finer way could there be to end your 2008 with a bang?

UNDERWORLD
Underworld are the best and most experienced live dance music act, period. Mutating from new wave electro in the eighties to underground house act in the early nineties via Darren Emerson and the influential Junior Boys Own label, they became the undisputed icon of dance culture when their storming anthem Born Slippy summed it up more than any single song before or since. Continuing to nail the dance musical zeitgeist throughout the last decade an a half, Underworld have remixed the best, from Bjork to Massive Attack and Leftfield and are founders of the uber-cred graphic design company Tomato. As anyone who has seen them live will attest, they know exactly how to deliver a perfect live show which builds like a skyscraper then blows you away. A genuinely essential experience for anyone with even a passing interest in dance music, you should not miss this!

BOYS NOIZE
After wowing is us with his headphone-wearing ways at Harbourlife, Boys Noize aka Kid Alex aka one-half of Puzique with D.I.M, has shot into the stratosphere since the 2007 release of Oi Oi Oi. Couple this with a body of remixes that reads longer than a Bill of Rights and it’s no wonder we’re super-excited to have Germany’s answer to Ed Banger back in Oz! Now a festival favourite across the globe, Boys Noize is set to weave a path of electronic destruction across Europe and North America with A-Trak on the Attack of the Uni-Bros Tour in the coming months… We can’t wait to Dance Dance Dance again.

THE PRESETS
Masters of mayhem, demons of the dancefloor, The Presets combine their brand of powerful twisted electronic pop-rock with a wonderfully intense, take-no-prisoners live show and in the process have become the most sought after Australian dance act in recent times. Gut-wrenching basslines have merged with irresistible synth-driven melodies and distorted vocals to create the colossal hits Are You The One?, Down, Down, Down, My People & This Boy's In Love, all of which have won them an army of worshippers worldwide. Now, with more ARIA nominations that you can poke the proverbial stick at and with ridiculously successful tours of Europe, Asia and North America behind them, these local lads will be back to rip the heart of Bondi Beach this New Year's Eve, kick it around and make a hell of a lot of good music in the process.
