Past Event: Field Day 2009
Announced 18 September, 2008
PARKING/PUBLIC TRANSPORT
We strongly encourage you to use public transport, call the info line 131500 or check out www. 131500.com.au. Parking is limited, the Domain Car park will be open until midnight, a flat rate of $20 will apply.
PASSOUTS
Passouts will be available from 5pm onwards.
FENCE JUMPING
There will be increased numbers of both security and police
at this year's event around the fence line to deter and catch
fence jumpers. Fines will be issued to people who attempt
to enter Field Day illegally and on the spot fines can be
up to $550.
SNIFFER DOGS
Many festivals and events across Australia have been targeted by sniffer dog operations. Fuzzy does not support illegal drug use or possession and anyone found with illegal substances will be handed over to the police. Possession of even a small quantity of illegal drugs can lead to a criminal conviction and a criminal record for life, not to mention a bad day.
WRISTBANDS
Upon entry, patrons will be issued with a wristband. Anyone found inside the event without a wristband will be treated as though they have entered the venue illegally.
ENTRY PROCEDURES
Field Day is a fully licensed over 18’s venue, police and liquor licensing requires that we check every person who comes to Field Day for photo ID. To ensure quick entry please make sure you have your photo ID and ticket ready for presentation at the gate. You may also have your belongings checked for restricted items and may be subjected to a metal detection and or a pat down check for concealed weapons. All these checks do slow down the entry process so we thank you in advance for your patience.
RECYCLING
Every time you by a drink in a recyclable can or PET bottle you will pay a $1 deposit. Return the empty container to one of the event recycling stations for a $1 ticket that you can use toward your next drink. Help the environment and keep the party looking clean by recycling all your cans and PET containers.
The Recycling stations will close at 10:30pm Sharp. And don’t forget to put your non-recyclable rubbish in the bins provided, no one likes dancing on rubbish.
SUN/RAIN PROTECTION
Field Day will be happening whether it's rain, hail or shine, so
please bring appropriate protection from the elements.
FIRST AID
We want you to have the best day possible so to ensure your safety we have employed a fully equipped first aid team to be on site for the duration of the event. Please see the map attached for the first aid location. We need you to be a responsible patron by ensuring you always know where the first aid station is, looking out for your friends (and taking them to the first aid station at the first sign of trouble), drinking plenty of water and making sure you take breaks during the day.
EFTPOS
There will be two eftpos locations on site for Field Day however as this event is in a park our eftpos machines run by a mobile phone signal which means that there may be times during the day when we are unable to do cash outs so please make sure you bring enough cash to enjoy your day. Please see the site map for eftpos locations.
MUSIC VOLUME
Music Volume at ALL outdoor events is subject to strict EPA
rules and may vary depending on time of day, weather conditions
and many other factors.
EAR PLUGS
Sound at this event may reach levels that can damage your
hearing. Free earplugs will be available from the First Aid Tent.
LOST & FOUND
All lost and found during the event will be handed into the cloakroom. If it is not there don’t despair as often things turn up after the event. Please call the Fuzzy office on 02 9699 2454 one week after the event to enquire about any lost property.

FIELD DAY HOT TIPS! Or how to have a field day at Field Day:
- You're there for the adventure first and foremost: Fun, friends, trees, smiles, cocktails, insane short films, talking random shit to randoms, dancing in the sun (or the rain!) - oh and some amazing live artists and DJs along the way.
- If you like, you can spend your day rushing from stage to stage, one eye on the playing times to make sure you don't miss a thing – but we think it's better to have a very r e l a x e d attitude to time at a festival! Let us worry about keeping everything on time and let your schedule be loose and flowing, so when you're on the way to the bar with a friend or to find their other friends and along the way you meet someone you haven't seen for years, you can have fun and enjoy the moment you are in.
- Make sure you dance your arse off, right in the middle of the dancefloor or better still front and centre, at least once.
- Talk to anyone and everyone.
- Check the map for the more out of the way toilets that less people are using!
- Remember that sometimes the best fun to be had is not in front of the big name act but dancing like there's no tomorrow in front of the smaller act you never saw before.
- Make at least one new friend.
- Be nice to those that are different from you - it's all about love and fun.
- Remember to laugh - parties and festivals are full of funny people and funny sights.
