Announced 09 October, 2009

WEB SALES CLOSED. LIMITED TICKETS AVAILABLE ON THE DOOR FROM 6PM UNTIL 11PM OR SOLD OUT

Entry Location

There will be 1 entrance to Shore Thing on Queen Elizabeth Drive off Campbell Parade, Bondi. Gates will open at 8.30pm.

Entry Procedures

Shore Thing is a fully licensed over 18’s venue, Police and Liquor Licensing requires that we check every person who comes to Shore Thing for photo ID. To ensure quick entry please make sure you have your photo ID and ticket ready for presentation at the gate. You may also have your belongings checked for restricted items and may be subjected to a metal detection and or a pat down check for concealed weapons. All these checks do slow down the entry process so we thank you in advance for your patience.

Ticket Sales

If not sold out prior tickets will be available for sale at the front gate until 11pm on 31st December 2009. After 11pm there will be no door sales so if you don’t have a ticket please choose another venue for your celebration. Police will strictly enforce alcohol free zones in nearby parks and streets.

Medical
We want you to have the best night possible so to ensure your safety we have employed a fully equipped first aid team to be on site for the duration of the event. We need you to be a responsible patron by ensuring you always know where the first aid station is, looking out for your friends (and taking them to the first aid station at the first sign of trouble), drinking plenty of water and making sure you take breaks during the day.

Cloak Room

Shore Thing will have a cloakroom that will be open for the duration of the event. There will be a charge to check and recheck items. Please ensure you keep your ticket to ensure you can claim your items at the end of the night. All care but no responsibility is taken for items checked into the cloak room. Please see the map for the cloakroom location.

Eftpos

There will be one Eftpos location on site for Shore Thing however as this event is in a park our Eftpos machines run by a mobile phone signal which means that there may be times during the night when we are unable to do cash outs so please make sure you bring enough cash to enjoy your night.

Free Water Outlet

There will be a water tank positioned on site next to Medical. Please ensure that the free water outlet is turned off when not in use to conserve water. You will also be able to request a cup of water from any bar.

Passouts

Passouts have not been permitted for Shore Thing.

Recycling

Help keep Bondi Beach beautiful! This year we have a Container Deposit Recycling System in place at Shore Thing.

All drinks purchased at our bars in either a can or a PET bottle will be subject to a $1 deposit. Once you have finished your drink please take the container to the recycling station. You will be given a $1 drink voucher which you can use towards your next purchase at the Bar or redeem for $1 cash at the Info/Eftpos booth. Please note: The recycling stations close at 2.30am sharp so after this you will not be able to return your cans or bottles.

Fence Jumping

A high ratio of security will be strategically positioned along the fence line to deter & catch fence jumpers. Security will hand all offenders over to the Police for prosecuting.

Sniffer Dogs

Many festivals and events across Australia have been targeted by sniffer dog operations. Fuzzy do not support illegal drug use or possession and anyone found with illegal substances will be handed over to the police. Possession of even a small quantity of illegal drugs can lead to a criminal conviction and a criminal record for life, not to mention a bad night and bad start to the new year.

Rain Protection

Shore Thing will be happening even if it is raining, so please bring appropriate protection from the elements.

Music Volume

Music Volume at ALL outdoor events is subject to strict EPA rules and may vary depending on time of day, weather conditions and many other factors.

Residents & local surrounding

Yes it’s New Years Eve - we are just as excited as you but please remember to respect the local residents (without their support events such as Shore Thing would be impossible) - be quiet and orderly and please use bins provided & do your bit to keep Bondi beautiful. Police will also strictly enforce alcohol free zones in all nearby parks and streets.

Information for locals

Shore Thing will be working closely with Council and Police on the night to ensure there is minimal disruption to the area surrounding the event. To reduce litter and to keep an eye on behavior, we'll be deploying security and cleaning teams to the streets running off Campbell Parade. Also, independent Noise Consultants will be in the area to ensure we're operating within EPA guidelines. If you have any concerns during the event contact 1300 369 227.

Lost Property

All lost and found during the event will be handed into the cloakroom. If it is not there don’t despair as often things turn up after the event. Please contact the Fuzzy office after 2pm on Monday 4th January 2010 (02-9699 2454).
